ABOUT MY POEMS
My poems are a space to explore expression, merging memory, dreams and imagination. Poetry creates spaces to ask questions from personal perspectives. I believe people carry many identities - who I was then and who I may be becoming- . Creative writing for me is a medium that bridges different areas of life but also the past, the present and the future .
Publishing writing in a performative or in printed forms is an exciting challenge. Ideas are constantly in transition and each work reflects a moment in time. A state of incompletion is central to my writing; even in a printed form I don’t feel the ideas are finished. Through writing I investigate different sides of themes of interst like ecology, embodiment, ceativity and regenerative potential. Often written parallel to paintings I hope that my poems inspire others to write. I find poetry a medium that ignores competition. No two people have the same experience of life, and it’s exciting when we finds ways to express present time through our unique angles.
