The documentary 'I WANT YOU TO IMAGINE - Art and LGBT+ Health Histories at LOUDEST WHISPERS 2024' by Heini King

was filmed and edited during the 2024 LOUDEST WHISPERS -exhibition at the Conference Centre Gallery, St Pancras Hospital, London. The exhibition was curated by Peter Herbert from the Arts Project London and it showcased artworks by 51 LGBT+ artists and allies.

The artists had produced work either in the open category, or in response to the 2024 LGBT+ History Month theme 'Medicine'. The documentary film focuses on artists whose work in the exhibition centres around the theme of health and medicine.

As a film-maker, I wanted to explore the process of exhibition-making in a hospital gallery setting. The documentary film creates a portrait of the three-month-long exhibition that brings together local artists, hospital staff and service-users, volunteers, university staff and students, as well as members of the audience. Multiple aspects of LGBT+ health and histories are investigated through art and conversations. The film had a public screening in the closing night of the exhibition on 10th May 2024.
